Wendy Besel Hahn is a writer, activist, and editor living in Denver, Colorado. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from George Mason University (2008) and attended Bread Loaf Writers Conference as a nonfiction contributor (August 2016). Her writing explores how geography, politics, and religion shape women in both fiction and nonfiction. Her first flash fiction piece recently appeared in Audacious Women: An Anthology (HRM, 2024). A video of her reading “About That Package: A Letter to Justice Kavanaugh” for #1001Artivists is forthcoming. She leads a local group for adults to educate them on becoming allies to the LGBTQIA+ community. Her nonfiction essays have appeared in HuffPost, The Washington Post, Scary Mommy, Hippocampus, and elsewhere. She served as the nonfiction editor for Grace in Love (May 2023) and Furious Gravity (May 2020), anthologies in the Grace & Gravity series that include women writers from the Washington D.C. area.
