Rebecca Macijeski
Rebecca Macijeski writes poems that are interested in the intersections of things-lyric and narrative, real and imagined, silly and poignant, local and global. She is originally from a small town in Vermont but has spent the last five years working on her PhD in Poetry at The University of Nebraska in Lincoln where she teaches and edits for the literary journals Hunger Mountain and Prairie Schooner. Her own poems have appeared in Nimrod, Sycamore Review, Poet Lore, Fairy Tale Review, and many others. She has attended residencies at The Ragdale Foundation and Art Farm Nebraska, and holds an MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. She is currently at work on a novel-in- poems about a dust bowl era fiddler who leaves Oklahoma to spread his tunes across the country on his way to finding a new home in the California mountains.
