Ofir Klemperer
Ofir Klemperer, originally from Haifa, Israel, currently lives in Cincinnati OH and is a composer, improviser, singer/song writer, and producer. He received his B.Mus. and M.Mus. in Composition from the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague, The Netherlands. Leaning heavily on his Korg MS-20, Ofir writes melodic lines, and orchestrates classical instruments together with punk and electronics, applying pop oriented music into an experimental and noise approach. Ofir's music has been performed internationally, selected cities include: Tel Aviv, Amsterdam, Belgrade, Gent, Antwerp, Brussels, and Sao Paolo. His work has been featured at Jazz Cerkno in Slovenia, Bolzano Jazz Festival in Italy, and MATA Festival in New York City. Ofir has written and/or collaborated with numerous ensembles and orchestras such as: Talea Ensemble, Asko|Schoenberg, Pow Ensemble, Rosa Ensemble, Modelo 62, Ensemble Klang, and Orkest de Ereprijs.
