Melissa Leavitt
Melissa Leavitt is a writer living in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she works for a children's healthcare nonprofit. Her work has previously appeared in Willow Springs and New Delta Review, among other publications. She holds an MFA from the University of Montana, and a PhD from Stanford University. In 2011, she was a writer-in-residence at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. In 2013, she will be a writer-in-residence at the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts. She is completing a collection of essays about impostors and the crisis of empathy.
