Maya Pindyck
Maya Pindyck's most recent collection of poetry, Emoticoncert, was published by Four Way Books in March 2016. Her book Friend Among Stones won the Many Voices Project Award from New Rivers Press, and her chapbook Locket, Master received a Poetry Society of America Chapbook Fellowship. A multidisciplinary artist, she often makes works that combine text, image, sound, and public context. Her projects have earned her grants and fellowships from the Historic House Trust of New York City's Contemporary Art Partnerships Program, Squaw Valley Writers, the Abortion Conversation Project, and the Vermont Studio Center. She lives and teaches in New York City while pursuing her PhD at Columbia University's Teachers College.
