Maggie Morris
Maggie Morris is an art director and creative nonfiction writer whose work integrates visual and verbal narratives that focus on themes around self-deception, memory, and truth. Her writing has been published in Forbes, Entropy, Complete Sentence, Fathom and On the Bus. Her in-progress debut memoir manuscript, Stone, was awarded UCLA’s Allegra Johnson Prize in 2021. Her award-winning design work has appeared nationally on billboards, digitally and in print. She is a member of the Los Angeles Poets & Writers Collective and is on the Board of Directors for Last Whispers, a project centered on globalization and language extinction. Maggie holds a BA in Cultural Anthropology and American Studies from Wesleyan University, and she has completed a Certificate in Creative Nonfiction at the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program. Maggie is a New Jersey native who now lives in Los Angeles with her perfect dog.
