Lisa Knopp
Lisa Knopp is the author of five books of creative nonfiction. Her most recent, What the River Carries: Encounters with the Mississippi, Missouri, and Platte (University of Missouri Press, 2012), was the winner of the 2013 Nebraska Book Award for nonfiction/essay. Currently, she's completing two projects: Bread, a memoir, and Like Salt or Love: Essays on Leaving Home, a collection of autobiographical essays about midlife. Knopp is a professor of English at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where she teaches courses in creative nonfiction. She lives in Lincoln.
