Erika Bolstad
Erika Bolstad is a journalist and filmmaker and the author of Windfall, a finalist for the 2024 Oregon Book Award. She spent a decade covering politics and climate change from Washington, D.C., and before that, wrote for the Miami Herald. In 2008, she was a Pulitzer finalist for work at the Idaho Statesman. Her companion film to her book, To Be Rich, was supported by an environmental arts grant from the Anonymous Was a Woman Foundation. Her current project, a documentary film and nonfiction book looking at how monuments in the West shape our understanding of the American story, is supported in part by a research grant from the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
