Eli Blasko
Originally from the foothills of western Pennsylvania, Eli Blasko is a sculptor, printmaker, designer, muralist, and art writer currently working out of Spartanburg, SC. He holds a BFA from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. In addition to this, he has also studied Spatial Communications at The Academy of Fine Art & Design in Bratislava, Slovakia as well as Traditional Blacksmithing and Steel Fabrication at Touchstone Center for Crafts in Farmington, PA. His recent exhibitions include works shown at the Sculpture X Conference hosted by The Columbus College of Art and Design, The Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in conjunction with the 2014 Pittsburgh Biennial, and a solo exhibition at The Venture Compound in St. Petersburg, Florida. He has completed residencies with The Paducah Arts Alliance (Paducah, KY), Hub-Bub (Spartanburg, SC), and has recently been selected as a Charles Adam's Studio Project Resident (Lubbock, TX) for the fall of 2015.
