Dawn Newton

Dawn Newton grew up in Oakland County, Michigan, and attended Michigan State University, studying English and Creative Writing. She holds a Master of Education from the University of Virginia and a Master of Arts in Fiction from the Johns Hopkins University. She has published stories and poems in Gargoyle, the South Carolina Review, the Clackamas Literary Review, Driftwood, the Bear River Review, and other literary magazines. Her completed novel, The Remnants of Summer, will be published in 2014. She teaches creative writing in the Department of English at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.
