David Groff
David Groff's book Theory of Devolution was selected by poet Mark Doty for the National Poetry Series and was published by the University of Illinois Press. He is also the author, with the late Robin Hardy, of The Crisis of Desire: AIDS and the Fate of Gay Brotherhood (Houghton Mifflin/University of Minnesota Press). He received his MFA and MA from the University of Iowa and for 15 years has worked as an independent book editor in New York City. David has taught at the University of Iowa, New York University, Rutgers University, and for the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts. He currently teaches in the MFA Graduate Writing Program at the City College of New York. With Philip Clark he has edited the anthology Persistent Voices: Poetry by Writers Lost to AIDS.
