Carrie Jerrell
Carrie Jerrell is the author of the poetry collection After the Revival, selected by Alan Shapiro for the 2008 Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize and published by Waywiser Press in the U.S. and Great Britain. Her poems have appeared in Image, Passages North, Birmingham Poetry Review, and Zone 3, among other publications. Carrie received her M.A. from the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University, and her Ph.D. in English from Texas Tech University, where she was honored as a Chancellor s Fellow. She currently works as an Associate Professor at Murray State University in Murray, KY, where she also coordinates the undergraduate creative writing program and teaches in the low-residency MFA program. She has been an artist-in-residence with the National Park Service, and a recipient of grants from the Kentucky Foundation for Women and the Kentucky Arts Council.
