Betsy Boyd
Betsy's short story, "Scarecrow," received a Pushcart Prize in 2009. She has published stories most recently in Shenandoah, Unpleasant Event Schedule, and Verb: An Audioquarterly. Betsy was born and raised in San Antonio and now lives in Baltimore. She has received an Elliot Coleman Fellowship in fiction writing, a James A. Michener Fellowship in screenwriting, and an Individual Artist Award from the Maryland State Arts Council. She teaches writing at the Maryland Institute College of Art. This summer marks Betsy's second visit to KHNC.
