Alberto Reyes Morgan
Alberto Reyes Morgan hails from the Mexicali–Imperial Valley border region. His interviews and translations have appeared in the books Invisible Hands: Voices from the Global Economy; Solito, Solita: Crossing Borders with Youth Refugees from Central America; Chasing The Harvest: Migrant Workers in California Agriculture and others. His fiction and essays have been published by the Michigan Quarterly Review, AGNI, Husk, and anthologized in Catapult’s Best Debut Short Stories 2021: The PEN America Dau Prize. He was the Philip Roth Writer-in-Residence at Bucknell University, the Carol Houck Smith Fiction Fellow at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, the recipient of the Tillie Olsen Award for Socially Conscious Writing, and has provided literary criticism on Texas Public Radio’s Book Public. He holds an MFA from the Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College, and has taught in Ethiopia, Spain, and the USA.
