Choey Eun Young Cho is an interdisciplinary artist based in the US and South Korea. Born in Seoul and raised in Saipan, CNMI, and the US, her practice navigates the complexities of in-betweenness shaped by her multilingual upbringing, examining the intersection of language, identity, and cultural hybridity.  Trained as a painter, she extends her inquiry into themes of linguistic alienation, self-division, and the untranslatable, employing experimental strategies in translation, storytelling, and materiality.

Cho holds an MFA in Painting and Drawing from The Ohio State University and has exhibited in the US and South Korea, including at project space SARUBIA in Seoul (2024), Holman Arts & Media Center, NV, Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts, TX (2023), Foxy Prorduction, NY (2022) and Roy G Biv, OH (2020) among others. Recent residencies and fellowships include Studios at MASS MoCA (2022), New York Art Residency and Studios Foundation (2022), and Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity (2020).
