Laura Wetherington
Laura Wetherington is a poet, teacher, and editor. She has two poetry books: Parallel Resting Places (Parlor Press), chosen by Peter Gizzi for the New Measure Poetry Prize, and A Map Predetermined and Chance (Fence Books), selected by C.S. Giscombe for the National Poetry Series. She lived in the Netherlands for six years (2017-2023), where she taught creative writing at Amsterdam University College and with the International Writers’ Collective. Now back in Nevada, Laura works as the poetry editor for Baobab Press and teaches with both the International Writers' Collective and the low-residency MFA Program in Creative Writing at the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe. Her latest publication is Little Machines (Salò Press), about early parenting in the Netherlands during the pandemic. She is currently making visual sonnets and working on a book-length collaboration with Hannah Ensor.
