Yeon Jin Kim
Kim received her BFA from Seoul National University in 2002 and the MFA from Hunter College, winning the Tony Smith Award in 2008. She has had solo exhibitions at the Lab Gallery in New York City, Brighthill Press in Treadwell, NY, the Hunterdon Museum, NJ, Columbus State University, GA and Auburn University, AL. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in the United States, Korea, Brazil and Germany. Kim's videos have been screened at Anthology Film Archives, the Site Festival, and PixelPops in New York City, Foundry Film and Video Series in NY, the Third International Video Festival in Egypt, and at Mieterwechsel and the Giguk Video Art Festivals, both in Germany. Kim has done residencies at I-Park, Abrons Arts Center, Bric/Bcat, the Islip Museum, Sculpture Space, the Saltonstall Foundation, Yaddo, Columbus State University, Auburn University, and at Fountainhead. She is currently based in New York City.
