Josh Johnson
Josh Johnson was born and raised in the Heart O' Lakes region of west central Minnesota near the Red River Valley of the North. Johnson earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of North Dakota in 2004 and continued his art education, studying sculpture for a year at the University of South Dakota before entering graduate school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, earning his Master of Fine Arts degree in 2010. He exhibits nationally and has been included in exhibitions at Manifest Gallery, Cincinnati, OH, the Sioux City Art Center, the 2009 North American Graduate Art Survey at the Katherine E. Nash Gallery, University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and was a finalist for the William & Dorothy Yeck Award in the 2011 Young Sculptors Competition at Miami University-Ohio. Johnson lives in Lincoln, NE where he maintains a studio, is an on-call exhibition technician at the Sheldon Museum of Art, and teaches part-time at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Nebraska Wesleyan University.
