Julia Caston
Julia Caston received a BA in Art History from Barnard College and her MFA with a concentration in social practice and sculpture from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has shown her work nationally and internationally and has participated in artist residencies in places such as Franconia Sculpture Park and the Inverness County Centre for the Arts in Nova Scotia. She is the co-founder of the nonprofit Minneapolis Art Lending Library in Minnesota, an organization that lends out original artwork to the public. As a creator of socially engaged work, Caston seeks to connect to her fellow human beings through her art-making.
