Nick Carbo
Nick is the author of three books of poetry: Andalusian Dawn(2004), Secret Asian Man (2000), and El Grupo McDonald's (1995). He has edited three anthologies of Filipino and Filipino American writers:Pinoy Poetics (2004), Babaylan (2000), and Returning a Borrowed Tongue (1995). Among his awards are grants in poetry from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York Foundation for the Arts, and residencies to Le Chateau de Lavigny (Switzerland), Fundacion Valparaiso (Spain), VCCA, Yaddo, and MacDowell Colony. In the spring of 2007 he served as the Writer-in-Residence at the New College of Florida. His poems appear in many leading journals like Ploughshares, Poetry, Indiana Review, and TriQuarterly.
