Mary Bergs
Mary Bergs is a visual artist who currently lives and works in Benton, WI. She works in 2D and 3D media and installation. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions throughout the Midwest. She has been the recipient of a MN State Arts Board Grants and a Jerome Foundation Travel Study Grant. She has participated in artist residency programs in the United States and Costa Rica. Bergs has taught in a variety of educational settings and worked with community groups using art as a means of creating conversation. She created an alternative gallery space in Minneapolis and curated exhibitions at Gallery 71 from 2015 -2018. She has provided Art and Design consultation to Healthcare and non-profits, and is currently the Artist in Residence at the Platteville Mining and Rollo Jamison Museums.
