David Manriquez - "My artwork mixes political and personal statements about the world around me, often through dark imagery and word play. When these feelings are expressed in a creative art form they become an integral part of that artist culture."

Dion Manriquez - "I have had many influences throughout my development as an artist, most apparent are Expressionism, Pre-Columbian, primitive and ancient art of various cultures. My numerous travels to countries of indigenous cultures, art and archeological sites are of prime interest and importance. I maintain a written and visual journal as well as, sketches and drawings, which I bring back and develop into my paintings. I have always liked abstracting and distorting objective forms human, manmade and natural. I have also been exploring simultaneously a more subjective multi head-face image, emphasizing color relationships, surface quality and other formal elements, as in the “Zanzibar Metamorphosis Head” an extension of floating heads and mask images I have been evolving for years."

Aron Schlosser - "Principally I am working with imagery dealing with my interpretations and reactions to spirituality and psychology as well as my awareness of social and political concerns. I like to work with a variety of mediums, and I find interest in exploring the textural quality of materials. Apart from family, my influences may range from art of the ancient world to current forms of neo-expressionism. The works I’ve elected to show have been completed in the last ten years and are good examples of the elements described above."

Bonnie Manriquez - "I am influenced by nature and a sincere interest in the variety of cultures throughout the world. My work in mixed media is a variation of texture and technique, which includes litho prints, free-hand drawing and collage on paper. Each work – gloss to flat surfaces, graphite and colored pencil, cellophane to foil – captures and reflects light to create multiple compositions and to express the layers of illusion in a complex reality."

Marc Manriquez - "The technical and historical influences that I draw from are varied and wide ranging. They are as follows: my parents’ art, ancient cultures, Northern Renaissance and Mannerist painters, Art Nouveau and German Expressionism. My desire is to make the image surge and pulsate, or to “Op Art” it, to make the painting as intense as possible through the use of color. My portrait is number one in a series of four. It is a combination of two photographs – one of myself and the other of my “Head Series” sculpture – combined to make one strong image. Many of my sculpture pieces are created using found and recycled objects."
