A great fan of residency programs, Amanda was artist-in-residence at Fljotstunga in Iceland in 2015, Art342 in Fort Collins, CO in 2009, and at the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts in 2014. She looks forward connecting with future and former residents, and to helping provide residents with the great experience she had while an artist at KHN.
Pat Friedli, Assistant Director
Pat Friedli has been Assistant Director since 2007. She began with the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts in 2001 working as a volunteer. She enjoys working with the resident artists to make them feel welcome and to support them in their creative endeavors saying, “I love meeting so many interesting people from all over the world. We have a great residency program where artists can be comfortable in the community and meet other artists, while at the same time focusing on creating art.”
Pat has lived in Nebraska City for 20 years. After graduating from Nebraska Wesleyan, she has had several careers but says, “It is very rewarding being here, surrounded by all of this art and so many wonderful artists. The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts is a great place to be.” In her spare time Pat enjoys creating fiber art and quilts.
