Born in sight of England's Canterbury Cathedral, Stuart Chittenden has called Omaha home since 2004. Formerly a London lawyer and an Omaha brand consultant, Stuart was drawn in 2010 to found a conversation catalyst called Squishtalks. His work explores the capacity for conversation to improve social, artistic, cultural, economic and democratic conditions. It also explores conversation's ability to facilitate self-awareness, individual growth and fulfillment - to transcend the barriers that exist both between us and within us. Stuart explored these themes in his project: a couple of 830 mile long conversations. An endeavor honoring a long line of oral traditions, Stuart adventured in an RV for four weeks along the side roads and among the small towns of the state to talk with Nebraskans. Traveling through conversations, discovering the lives, cultures and stories of people he met, the project was a long hello to Nebraska.
